This bike tour leads you through the Lubéron Mountains in the heart of Provence. The Lubéron has been declared a national park due to its unique countryside and scenery. Nowhere else will you find such typical Provence villages, so well described by Peter Mayle in his bestseller: A year in Provence. Medieval and colorful towns and villages like Cavaillon, Manosque, Apt, Isle sur Sorgue, Cucuron, and many more await you. Lavender fields and also the famous ocher mines around Roussillon.

Day 1: Avignon
Arrive individually in Avignon and settle down in your elegant 4**** hotel.
Day 2: Avignon > Cavaillon, ~50 km
At around 9:30 am it’s your welcome meeting and you pick up your bikes if rented one. Then ride through the Little Crau countryside to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, typical little town, and then along the Alpilles on to Cavaillon.
Day 3: Cavaillon > Lourmarin, ~42 km
You continue on the south side of the Lubéron Mountains along the Durance valley and foothills and pass through typical villages like Mérindol, Lauris and Lourmarin and their vineyards.
Day 4: Lourmarin > Gargas, ~40 km
Beautiful landscapes accompany you on the way to Roussillon. Some of the villages you pass by are 'the most beautiful villages of France'
Day 5: Gargas > Isle sur la Sorgue, ~28 km
The tour leads you from the famous ocher rocks near the pretty village of Roussillon and its colorful houses to Isle sur Sorgue called the “Venice of Provence”.
Day 6: Around the Luberon, ~15-40 km
Today you have several options. You can either go to Gordes, or Fontaine la Vaucluse or ride to the famous abbey of Senanque sourrounded by lavender fields.
Day 7: Isle sur Sorgue > Avignon, ~40 km
