But before arriving in Saint Petersburg you still have passed two European capitals. Riga and Tallinn are absolutely worth to be seen and their charming hanseatic beauty is just fascinating. Day 1: Individual arrival in Riga
Come to Riga and settle down in your charming hotel. In the evening a guided town walk will make you discover the largest Baltic city on the river bank of the Daugava River. Sights like the Latvian National Opera or the House of the Blackheads are really worth to be seen.
Day 2: Riga - Pärnu, ~35 km
From Latvia it goes to Estonia today. After breakfast you'll meet our tour agent. Together with him you'll go northwards by van for 110 km. Here you'll get your rental bike and off you go. You pass the border to Estonia and follow the beautiful coastline of the Baltic Sea to the north. You will reach your hotel in Pärnu in the afternoon. We recommend to take a walk to discover this lovely seaside resort.
Day 3: Saaremaa Island, ~52 km
The day starts with a bus ride of about 100 km. Then you'll take a ferry to get to the isle of Saaremaa, the largest Estonian island. Discover this nice island with your bike. Highlights are the wind mills of Angla and the meteorite crater field of Kaali, which is really a unique natural sight. The overnight stay takes place in or nearby Kuressaare.
Day 4: Roundtrip to Sorve Peninsula, ~56 km
Take the time to explore Kuressaare in the morning. Especially the impressive bishop's palace is worth to be seen. The following bike tour leads you to Sorve Peninsula. At the southernmost point of the island you can climb up the charming light house and learn a lot in the nearby maritime museum. Once again the overnight stay takes place in your charming hotel in or nearby Kuressaare.
Day 5: Roundtrip to Panga steep coast, ~50 km
Today's cycle tour leads you to the north of Saaremaa Island. Follow the coastline and beaches of the Baltic Sea to Panga. The cliff that you will find here is just breathtaking. Enjoy the overwhelming view over the endless sea before getting back to your hotel in Kuressaare by van. It is the last night that you'll spend here.
Day 6: Hiiumaa Island, ~46 km
After a short bus transfer you take the ferry to Hiiumaa Island. The following bike tour leads you over Kassari Island back to the isle of Hiiumaa and its main town Suuremoisa. Take the time here to visit Hiiumaa museum, the historic wool manufactory and Catherine's church. Afterwards you will get back to the Estonian mainland with a ferry boat. The night you will spend in the small town of Haapsalu.
Day 7: Haapsalu - Tallinn, ~40 km
After breakfast and a short van transfer the following bike ride leads you once again along the beaches of the Baltic Sea to the Estonian capital Tallinn. On your way we recommend to take a break in Keila where the Castle Fall and the nearby fountain are worth a visit. To get to downtown Tallinn you will use our van for a short transfer and in the late afternoon a guided city walk is planned for you.
Day 8: Lahemaa National Park, ~50 km
Leave the Estonian capital in the morning by van. After about 70 km you will arrive at the Lahemaa National Park, today's playground for your bike tour. Enjoy cycling in the heart of charming and quite nature and take a stop in Palmse and Sagadi to visit the stylish manor houses there. Another van transfer will bring you then to the town of Narva at the Russian border. Here you will spend your last night in Estonia.
Day 9: Narva - Saint Petersburg
Another kind of holidays will now begin. You leave your bike in Estonia and pass the border to Russia by van to go on to the fascinating metropolis of Saint Petersburg. Your new Russian tour guide will accompany you. The first sightseeing tour is planned for this afternoon. On the program is not less than the 'Peter and Paul Fortress' which has been adapted as the central and most important part of the State Museum of Saint Petersburg History. And in the evening a typical Russian dinner awaits you in an extraordinary restaurant.
Day 10: Saint Petersburg and Peterhof Palace
Start the day with a boat cruise on the Neva River and then visit the State Hermitage Museum, the second-largest art museum in the world. In the afternoon our van will bring you to Peterhof Palace, a unique masterpiece of architecture with its famous gardens. And once again you will dine in a typical Russian restaurant in the evening.
Day 11: Catherine Palace and Amber Room
In the morning you will be brought to Puschkin in the southern suburbs of Saint Petersburg. Welcome to Catherine Palace, the former summer residence of the Russian tsars. Stroll through the ballroom and the chapel and do not miss to visit the imposing copy of the world famous Amber Room. After a last included lunch your tour unfortunately ends in the afternoon. But of course we can organize one or more additional nights here and you can extend your holidays.
