These two majestic capitals are finally linked by cycle paths and low-traffic roads. From Paris, France’s most romantic city, you will cross the Seine and Epte rivers valley in Normandy to reach the sea. After the Dieppe-Newhaven crossing, the greenest of English countryside will accompany you to London, the most regal of international cities. Inaugurated in 2012, the Paris-London Avenue Verte is a dream come true. "Prêt à partir" for this guided bike tour?

Day 1: Arrival in Paris
Bienvenue à Paris. If you arrive in the early afternoon, you have the opportunity to discover the Ville Lumiere.
Day 2: Paris - Cergy, ~55 km/34 miles
Au revoir Paris! The tour starts in front of Notre Dame with two options: You can either leave the capital along the Canal St. Denis, or follow the "Axe Historique". This is the line that connects the Louvre, the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe with the new Paris La Défense. Later Nanterre so highly valued by the Impressionists and its landscape begins with its islands and parks.
Day 3: Cergy - Gisors, ~60 km/37 miles
The journey is resumed by the heart of the nature reserve of Vexin and leads past picturesque towns, castles and country estates. Passing Théméricourt and its beautiful Maison du Parc, continue to Villarceaux and the castle of the same name from the 18th Century. Once you reach the small Bray-et-Lû, follow the River Epte to Gisors and its castle on the former French Norman border.
Day 4: Gisors - Forges-les-Eaux, ~65 km/40 miles
After leaving Gisors follow Gournay-en-Bray and then continue to Forges-les-Eaux, a famous spa town. Welcome to Normandy or better yet Gourmandy, the land of unique gourmet specialties.
Day 5: Forges- les -Eaux - Newhaven, ~60 km/38 miles
From Forges-les-Eaux follow the new bike path to the sea. You pass through a beautiful landscape with many farms that supply the markets in Paris and Normandy, with their exceptional products. In the second part of the ride then dominated the color light blue while you cross the mouth of the river Arques, which is dominated by the castle of the same name. Finally, you come to Dieppe, the first fashionable seaside resort of France, which also attracted many Impressionists. Meet at the quay to cross the English Channel and then overnight at Newhaven after crossing.
Day 6: Newhaven - East Grinstead, ~55 km/34 miles
From Newhaven take the train to Polegate and from here starts your leg with the bike. You cycle through the Cuckoo Valley, along the old railway line to Heathfield. From here, a more strenuous journey leads to Groombridge, where the track is flat again. You cycle along the "Forest Way" cycle path to East Grinstead, with its historic market.
Day 7: East Grinstead - London, ~45 km/28 miles
In East Grinstead take the "Worth Way" bike path going through a beautiful forest until you reach Crawley, a very modern city where you feel almost in London already. In the morning you take a train to Coulsdon and from here you will cycle along beautiful roads and through quiet neighborhoods in the Heart of London. Your tour ends in front of Westminster Abbey.
Day 8: End of the tour
Check out after breakfast. There is the possibility to reserve extra nights.
