On this bike tour you will enjoy the wonderful landscape around Munich. Discover the probably loveliest region in Bavaria. Dream-like lakes and breath-taking mountain backdrops await you.
Day 1: Individual arrival to Munich
Individual arrival to Munich.
Day 2: Munich > Lake Starnberg, ~60 km
Your first bike tour takes you from Munich via the Wesslinger See and Pilsensee to the Ammersee, the third largest lake in Bavaria. Treat yourself to a short break in Herrsching to enjoy the fantastic view of the lake. Passing the Andechs Monastery you will reach Lake Starnberg. Those who prefer to take it easy can now cycle directly to Lake Starnberg.
Day 3: Lake Starnberg > Lake Staffelsee, ~45 km
Travelling along the eastern side of Lake Starnberg, you will cycle to Seeshaupt. If you wish you can also shorten this section by ship (ticket is not included). You then travel past the romantic lake Riegsee to lake Staffelsee.
Day 4: Lake Staffelsee > excursion to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, ~40 km + train ride
Today’s cycling stage leads you mainly along the crystal clear river Loisach to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Travel with the Zugspitzbahn onto the highest peak in Germany. You then travel back to lake Staffelsee by train (included in the tour price).
Day 5: Lake Staffelsee > Bad Tölz, ~45 km
Your today's bike tour leads first on the cycle trail 'Bodensee-Königssee-Radweg' to Kochelsee. From there you drive via Benediktbeuern and Bad Heilbrunn to Bad Tölz. This health resort has a lot to offer. The love for customs and home is still part of everyday life here. (If you stay overnight at the Kochelsee, today's stage is only ~ 30 km).
Day 6: Bad Tölz > Lake Tegernsee, ~20-60 km
Today you can choose between different bike tours to the Tegernsee. Leisurely cyclists ride directly along the cycle path to the Tegernsee (approx. 20 km) and can then go around the Tegernsee (+ 20 km). Very sporty cyclists or mountain bike enthusiasts can choose the variant along the Isar to the fjord-like Sylvenstein reservoir and over the Achenpass to the Tegernsee (approx. 60 km).
Day 7: Lake Tegernsee > Munich, ~65 km
The Via Bavarica Tyrolensis long-distance cycle route takes you directly from Lake Tegernsee back to the Bavarian capital. If you want, you can shorten today's bike tour to around 25 km on your own using the train.
