3 rivers in Manors & Châteaux: pure Luxury! This sumptuary bike vacation leads you from Amboise to the western part of the Loire-valley and its attractive feeder rivers Indre and Cher. Along those rivers you have both: various and wonderful landscape as well as great art treasures. The evenings and nights you will spend in the most beautiful castles and manors; you will be welcomed by the lord or lady of the castle and you will be regaled with extraordinary culinary art. This bike tour shows you France from its best side with its “savoir vivre”. Our tour Loire de Luxe really makes dreams come true!

Day 1: Arrival in Amboise
Come to Amboise and visit the Renaissance castle of the 15th century and the Manoir du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci lived in his old age.
Day 2: Amboise - Montbazon, ~45 km
This morning you ride along the vineyards of Montlouis before arriving in the elegant town of Tours. From here you follow this Loire River until you reach Montbazon.
Day 3: Excursion to Azay le Rideau, ~55 km
Ride on the "Indre à vélo" cycling paths along the winding Indre River and admire its beautiful mills and typical villages, before joining Azay le Rideau and its romantic Renaissance château, elegantly enclosed in its water and greenery setting. (2 days SPA access included)
Day 4: Montbazon - Chenonceaux, ~40-50 km
Today you pedal from the Indre to the Cher-valley, where the most elegant castle is expecting you: Chenonceaux. This treasure is built over the Cher River, which you are driving along to get to the medieval small town Montrichard. (Option: Canoe trip)
Day 5: Chenonceaux - Cheverny, ~48 km
Lots of small castles are on your way through vineyards and orchards to Ouchamps. For example you will pass the castle Fougères sur Bièvre which was built in the 15th century. (Option: Hot air balloon)
Day 6: Cheverny - Chambord - Cheverny, ~50 km
Today’s tour is leading you through and along the forests and lakes of Sologne, as well as architectural treasures. E.g. the castle Cheverny, which is famous for its original furniture and gorges interior, but also France’s greatest Renaissance Castle, Chambord! (lunch in gourmet restaurant included)
Day 7: Cheverny - Amboise, ~50 km
The cycle track leads you through peaceful landscapes to the Loire-valley. You will be surprised by Chamont sur Loire and its castle before you get to Amboise and its impressive royal castle.
