Follow the Greenways Trail from Prague to Vienna! For the first part of the trail from Prague to Cesky Krumlov you will travel by minibus or car. We leave Prague early in the morning in order to have sufficient time to explore one of the best-preserved medieval town in Europe. During the following days, you will travel through the lands of the Trebon ponds and through the woods on the border with Austria called Czech Canada. You will visit the Renaissance towns of Trebon and Telc and many others. The trail will take you through the vineyards of South Moravia, where you will lodge in the cultural centers of the region, Znojmo and Mikulov. And finally the whole trip ends in the breathtaking city of Vienna. We wish you a pleasant trip!

Day 1: Arrival in Prague
Day 2: Transfer to Cesky Krumlov
The tour starts with a welcome briefing and the transfer from Prague to Cesky Krumlov. Then check in at your hotel and take some time for sightseeing in this beautiful medieval town. If you prefer to cycle you can climb up to Klet hill (1079 m asl). It is a 26 km long round ride with a total elevation gain of 692 m.
Day 3: Cesky Krumlov > Trebon, ~53 or 63 km
Before leaving Cesky Krumlov you should visit the castle and garden in the morning. Then the route leads through the beautiful hilly landscape surrounding the town. However, the closer you get to Trebon area, the flatter the landscape becomes. A scenic ride through a picturesque landscape ends in Trebon, also well-known as a major spa resort. Here you will check in to your hotel and you visit the Schwarzenberg Tomb. In case you would like to relax in a spa, we can arrange a massage, a whirlpool or other services at Trebon's wellness center. We also recommend an evening walk around the Renaissance town.
Day 4: Trebon > Telc, ~78 km
Take the time to visit Trebon chateau in the morning and then ride on a trail that winds along many ponds and man-made lakes, so typical of this region, to Perslak, the most northern point of Austria. You will follow the border with Austria on the Greenways trail passing through Nova Bystrice, where you should have lunch. From Nova Bystrice the trail will take you through the forests of the National Park called Czech Canada. The day ends in Telc, a Renaissance town registered on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List. The houses on the main square in Telc, with facades decorated with typically renaissance graffiti, form the best-preserved Renaissance Square in the Czech Republic. It is extremely interesting to compare the differences between the towns of Trebon, Cesky Krumlov and Telc.
Day 5: Telc > Vranov, ~54 km
The Telc chateau opens its gates for you in the morning. Then you will ride through several charming villages typical for the region of South Moravia. You will stay overnight in Vranov which is situated near a dam.
Day 6: Vranov > Znojmo, ~32 or 38 km
Today you will cycle on the Greenways trail following the river Dyje and the southern Czech border with Austria. This very beautiful trail leads through the national park of Dyje. Znojmo is the gateway to the region of South Moravia, a region of wine production. Check-in to your hotel and then take a walk round the historical center of the town in the evening.
Day 7: Znojmo > Mikulov, ~62 or 72 km
This flatland region is a traditional wine-growing area and there are many wine cellars. So take the time to have some wine tasting along your way. Numerous colorful small villages invite you to do so. Today’s destination Mikulov is a town with a rich history, a beautiful castle and an historical square. So check-in to your hotel in late afternoon and enjoy your leisure time in the evening.
Day 8: Mikulov > Vienna, ~45 km
You cross the border at the Mikulov border checkpoint and spend the rest of the day in Austria. The ride to begin is very similar to the Czech section. There are vineyards, fields and small villages along the trail. Experienced bikers can reach the Vienna hotel by bike. We recommend finishing the cycling part of the trail in Mistelbach (45 km) and travelling by car or minibus to Vienna. The support vehicle is leaving Vienna in the early afternoon. All the participants of a guided tour with flight tickets from Prague can travel by supporting vehicle to Prague for free and spend their last night there.
