A Hungarian Rhapsody! Make some cycling holidays and enjoy a bike tour along the Danube River through Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Your cycle trip starts in the world’s city of charm. Bratislava invites you to shopping tours in the picturesque old town. The metropolis Budapest, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, is the crowning conclusion of your journey. This tour offers a natural and cultural experience mostly away from the touristic centers. Untouched nature, little-known artistic treasures and cultural monuments can be found on this route between Vienna and Budapest. You cycle in the infinite widths of the Hungarian lowlands. You can also visit the famous ‘Arabian National Stud’ in Babolna where you can explore the secrets of traditional horse breeding. The Basilica in Esztergom is the greatest church in Hungary and accommodates many art treasures. Enjoy the friendly people and the Hungarian hospitality.

Day 1: Vienna
Individual arrival in Vienna. This evening belongs to you! How about a spectacular stroll through the Imperial City or a visit of one of the typical Viennese cafés or taverns with local food and goodies “Heurigen”? Possibilities are endless in the “City of Waltz”.
Day 2: Vienna - Bad Deutsch Altenburg, ~42 km/26 miles
The Danube-Cycle-Path leads you on quiet trails through the "Donauauen“ National park, passing the castles of Orth and Eckartsau until you reach the former Roman city Petronell Carnuntum (Roman excavations) or the health resort Bad Deutsch Altenburg.
Day 3: Bad Deutsch Altenburg - Bratislava - Mosonmagyarovar, ~71 km/44 miles
You follow the Danube-Cycle-Path to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The quaint old city center with numerous sights, a lovely pedestrian zone and countless restaurants and coffee shops will invite you to an extended stroll. After you have visited Bratislava, you cycle to the "Little Alföld" which will surely enchant you. This stage can be split by adding an extra night in Bratislava.
Day 4: Mosonmagyarovar - Györ, ~45 km/28 miles
Today, you will bike through the charming and idyllic landscape of the “Little Alföld” to Györ, one of the most important cities of the Hungarian lowlands with a glamorous, historical city center. For a pleasant walk, the narrow lanes, churches and the palaces of the baroque city center are very inviting.
Day 5: Györ - Tata, ~61 km/38 miles
Through a landscape of rolling hills you will cycle to the town of Tata with its lakes, located at the foot of the hill range “Gerecse”. Don’t forget to visit the Arabian National Stud in Babolna.
Day 6: Tata - Esztergom, ~56 km/35 miles
The morning starts with a train ride from Tata to Komárom (included). Along the Slovakian Danube, cycle through small and quaint farm-villages in a floodplain basin region to Esztergom where you can admire the impressive and largest Catholic cathedral in Hungary.
Day 7: Esztergom - Budapest, ~62 km/39 miles
Steep mountain-slopes frame the picturesque landscape of the Danube Bend up to Szentendre Island. You can learn more about the Hungarian architecture in the nearby open air museum. Take the boat to come to Budapest (included). On the boat, the view on the sun deck is overwhelming.
