Day 2: Sprimont - Saint-Hubert, ~50 km
Start your bike tour in Sprimont, a small and cozy provincial metropole of about 15.000 inhabitants. The town is famous for its nearby blue stone mines and in the local museum you can learn more about it. Half way of today's stage you will pass the town of Libramont. And finally you will get to Saint Huber, the self-named 'town of hunt and nature'. Worth a visit here is the Gothic Basilica with its Baroque walls and the former Abbey of Saint-Huber, which is named after the patron of the hunters.
Day 3: Saint-Hubert - Awenne, ~33 km
This morning you ride through the wood land of the Foret de Mirwart until you reach the town with the same name. Mirwart only counts about 100 inhabitants, but it is real a pearl of a village. Especially the church of Saint-Roch and the nearby 'Chateau de Mirwart' are breathtaking. Afterwards you will ride on to Awenne, where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Awenne - Verdenne, ~34 km
Riding on and alongside the hilly countryside of the Ardennes to Nassogne you will pass the lively old marked town of Marche-en-Famenne. The town of about 20.000 inhabitants is still an important local trading point and has something to show to its visitors like for example the Park Jadot, the palace of justice, the church of Saint-Remacle or the Convent of Carmese. And after a relaxed picnic you follow your way to today's destination Nassogne. The town is known as the Gate to the Ardennes. Highlight of the town is the church of Saint Monon, which is dedicated to a Scottish missionary who has been living and killed in the surrounding forest.
Day 5: Verdenne - Sprimont, ~73 km
On this last stage your way leads you back to Sprimont. Once again you ride through the forest in a gently rolling countryside. The town of Tenneville with is beautiful church of Notre Dame de Beauraing might be the best place for lunch before finishing this circular tour in Sprimont.
