For the first three nights you will stay at our well-known 3 *** superior hotel with garden and swimming pool in the heart of the Lubéron valley. It is in the best location as this hotel offers a 360° panoramic view of the incredibly beautiful Provencal landscape and the mountains of the Lubéron and the Vaucluse. From here you start your daily loop bike tours. The second hotel is an exclusive 4 **** hotel with swimming pool and spa area. It is close to the center of the famous village of Lourmarin, where the writer Albert Camus lived for many years. During this holiday you will come along the highlights of the Luberon in Provence: You will discover countless picturesque villages such as Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ansouis, Lauris, as well as the Cistercian abbeys Sénanque and Silvacane. The ocher rocks in Roussillon and Rustrel. Not to mention the lavender fields, colors and scents.

Day 1: Arrival in Gargas
Individual arrival to the 3 *** Superior start hotel with excellent cuisine in a very quiet location (with swimming pool), wonderful view of the Lubéron and Vaucluse mountains. The parking lot is free for the duration of the trip. You stay here for 3 nights. If you have booked rental bikes, they are ready for you.
Day 2: Gargas > round trip to the ocher rocks of Rustrel, ~38 km
On today's first stage you drive to the shining ocher rocks of Rustrel, which are national natural heritage and a real highlight. First, it goes to Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt through wonderful Provencal landscape, which is characterized by viticulture. In addition to the ocher rocks, there are also numerous traces from Roman times in Rustrel. From there you drive back via Apt, it is a dreamy town and the so-called capital of the Lubéron Valley, to Gargas.
Day 3: Gargas > round trip to Gordes and Sénanque Abbey, ~40 km
Discover the best-preserved Cistercian abbey in Europe today, Sénanque! We recommend visiting the ocher rocks on foot. Then you cycle between lavender fields to Gordes, which clings to the rocks, no less pretty, and finally you come to the Sénanque Abbey, surrounded by lavender fields, a popular photo motif. Follow the typical Provencal landscape back to Gargas on sneak paths.
Day 4: Gargas > Ménerbes > Lacoste > Bonnieux > Lourmarin, ~40 km
You reach the small river Calavon, there you always follow the beautiful bike path to Ménerbes. This charming place became known in the 1990s through the bestsellers of the English author Peter Mayle (My Year in Provence), who made many readers want to explore his adopted home through his loving descriptions of French life. We continue to Lacoste, another beautiful Provence village and Bonnieux. After a small climb over the Lubéron range, another incredibly picturesque village awaits you: Lourmarin! You spend the night in a dreamlike 4 **** hotel with swimming pool and spa.
Day 5: Lourmarin > round trip to Cabrières d’Aigues and Ansouis, ~30 km
You should definitely not leave your camera at home, because today another day awaits you with beautiful scenery and typical Provence villages. Painters and photographers are happy about a colorful motif!
Day 6: Lourmarin > round trip to La Roque d’Anthéron, Mallemort, Lauris, ~52 km
Continuation of the cycle tour for connoisseurs through a landscape to dream and villages that have it all. Pure beauty! One of the most beautiful Cistercian abbeys in France is on the side of the road: Silvacane. A visit is an absolute „must„!
